I wish I could write, to you, a poem
One of the heart that is lovely and dear
My heart that was worn, scarred and broken
You fixed, and became the one I revere
For you are the sun, in the morning rise
And I am only a lowly farmer
Who can only speak words of heart, no lies
Grace My tied tongue, But I am no charmer
For never to grace this small prairies land
Was there a lass so lovely and fair
So please my dear, grant this desperate man
Your eternal vow of love and prayer
For only you my dear I wish to marry
My enchanting and beautiful fairy
One of the heart that is lovely and dear
My heart that was worn, scarred and broken
You fixed, and became the one I revere
For you are the sun, in the morning rise
And I am only a lowly farmer
Who can only speak words of heart, no lies
Grace My tied tongue, But I am no charmer
For never to grace this small prairies land
Was there a lass so lovely and fair
So please my dear, grant this desperate man
Your eternal vow of love and prayer
For only you my dear I wish to marry
My enchanting and beautiful fairy
