Withstanding the Storm

Do not attempt to withstand the storm
That is I.
For I will knock you to your knees,
And take what is mine.

Do not attempt to hide from the fury
That is in my gaze.
For there is a truth there
That you are ashamed to see.

Do not tell me where my place is;
For I will destroy it.
Do not tell me what I cannot do;
For I will embrace it!

My heart pumps passion;
My head sings determination;
My body bleeds action;
And my eyes reflect the storm that is I.

Do not attempt to contain me;
Many a fool has tried.
Only to be swept away,
By the furious winds
That lie behind my tongue.

I am a force that cannot be stopped;
My feet quake the very earth!
So do not attempt to withstand me,
I am too powerful, too alive, to be ignored.

Follow my winds;
Take shelter in my passions;
Revel at my courage;
Sing with my determination;
Look into my gaze; and see the truth there.

For those who embrace me,
Becomes me.
